Sigulu Island Mission (Lake Victoria)
We had a good time and I covered 3 Islands, I had to travel 12 hours by road and 6 hours by boat The meetings were so powerful that we had to get old nets to make the tent bigger to fit people. The people are really hungry for the Word of God in these islands. Bishop Lucas and Esther Wafula (Kenya)
As God continues to bless me in the Ministry I will not stop preaching! But thank you for the gift from you. Thank you for supporting me. It has been a blessing also as I got to Malawi for the Gospel mission for one week. Lazaro Mahewa (Tanzania)
Good News Crusade supports the ministry of Pastors Christopher & Susan Kasii to Sudan where they are planning to go later this year.
We have also helped Colin Reed to go to the Philippines on a ministry visit.
David Abbott has recently been ministering in an Orphanage in India for which he took money from GNC to purchase new washing machines.
Arriving at the orphanage it was soon clear why God sent me there. A Christian orphanage and school run by a Christian but great need among the children and staff. Most of the children there now are different to when I was last there and the leader told me only two out of the eighty nine were Christians. So into the gospel message we went in all three sessions and the result, different children.
We previously sent money to (ex ETC) Pastor Ronel Didier’s wife Monique in Chad for 2 sewing machines and a further gift to help with this outreach ministry to ladies who are not only learning to sew and support themselves and their families but who are also being reached with the Gospel.
We continue to sponsor Ishimwe Agape in Rwanda. Photo shows him with Gilbert Habimana & Jonathan Conrathe who visited them last year.
Champions School Eldoret
.In 2007 Good News Crusade first began supporting the newly founded school at Eldoret, Kenya, named Champions Academy The school was set up to provide education for children from a very deprived part of Eldoret as well as boarding for orphans and ‘street kids’. Since that time the school has grown each year. Many of you may be involved in regular support of the children’s education, especially the orphans.
Most of you will remember that donations were given for a Memorial to Heather and as a result a new classroom was built at the school. In order to comply with government requirements to be a registered school it now needs to expand and upgrade its classroom accommodation. This is to accommodate the growing number of children who wish to attend the school and also to update the accommodation. We understand that the total cost for the work will be approximately £15,000. GNC is again partnering with Friends of Kenya Children and has pledged to contribute a minimum of £5000.
Work has begun already and GNC has already sent £2500 from the Missionary Offering taken at The Edge Camp. We now need to raise a further £2500 in order to complete our commitment to the project.
